Medical research panel FAQs

Have questions about whether or not you should join a paid medical survey panel? We have answers

Interested in joining All Global Circle’s medical panels? We answer your most frequently asked questions.

If being a doctor only meant treating patients, life would be a lot easier. But, we know your job involves a lot more than applying the textbook knowledge you learned in medical school.

Staying up-to-date on new treatments can sometimes feel like another job entirely. And, as much as you’d like to spend your free time scouring the internet for the latest trends in your field so you can have an informed patient conversation, you also have a life to live.

Signing up for All Global Circle’s medical research panel can actually keep you informed about some of the latest treatment options, give you a preview of the latest advances in your field and create a smoother doctor/patient relationship. It also allows you to utilize your expertise, impact the healthcare industry and guide companies on how to best position new treatments in the marketplace.

But how does it all work? Great question!

We asked Shaun Hawley, the head of global supply, at Profiles by Kantar (All Global Circle’s parent company) to answer some of our most commonly asked questions. Her responses are below.

Question: How long has the Kantar Group been in business?

Hawley: The Kantar Group began in 1946 and is one of the world’s largest research companies. We actually helped conduct the research to design the first seatbelt.

Q: What types of companies use All Global Circle surveys?

Hawley: We’re hired by a variety of companies in the healthcare industry. For example, you may receive a survey from a pharmaceutical company developing a new drug. Or an advertising or marketing agency might be creating a product’s name or branding. We also help hospitals looking to understand a doctor’s experience as well as government agencies and industry entities looking to understand trends and how they impact the medical community.

Q: What types of surveys do you create, and how long will they take me to finish?

Hawley: We’ll either do an online survey or a more in-depth phone survey, depending on our client's request. The amount of time it takes to complete each survey will vary based on the number of questions asked. Some take under 30 minutes, while others, especially phone surveys, can last over an hour. We’ll be sure to give you an estimate of the time needed before you start the survey.

Q: What happens during a phone survey?

Hawley: Phone surveys are an excellent opportunity for doctors to share their expertise with our researchers. During a phone survey, you’ll discuss details about your practice and your patients with our team. While these interviews can last an hour or more, if you don’t have that much time, just tell the researcher, and they’ll adjust their questions to fit within your time frame.

Q: How will I be compensated for my time?

Hawley: You will receive a voucher for each completed survey. Most of our participants redeem their vouchers for Amazon credits or convert them into cash through either PayPal or a Visa gift card. But we do have over 100 options you can choose from, including Starbucks and iTunes gift cards. Your vouchers never expire. We have some doctors still accumulating over a thousand dollars’ worth of vouchers in their account to save for a big purchase!

Q: How am I notified about the surveys I can take?

Hawley: You’ll receive an email when we have a survey that matches your profile.

Q: How long will I have to complete a survey?

Hawley: That really depends on the client and the topic. Sometimes, we’ll need you to turn around a survey in 24 hours, while other surveys may be open for months, especially if the subject is very specific.

Q: Are there dedicated researchers for the healthcare industry?

Hawley: Yes. We have a dedicated team that works with our healthcare clients. Our survey design teams typically have a medical background and are familiar with the industry and terminology. Our interviewers also really understand the different specialties and challenges specific to the healthcare industry.

Q: How many surveys will I receive each month?

Hawley: Depending on your specialty, the number of surveys you receive every month will vary.

Q: What if I’m too busy to take a survey for a few months? Will my account be suspended?

Hawley: No. Although we might prioritize more active doctors first when we have a survey that matches your profile. But even if you haven’t taken a survey in 18 months and find yourself with some free time one day, we’ll welcome you back as an active member.

Q: It sounds great! How do I sign up?

Hawley: Once you’ve filled out our quick registration form and answered questions about your specialty and where you practice, we will review your application and confirm your license number and specialization. Then, you’ll begin to receive emails from us when we have a survey available that matches your profile.  Learn more about why you should join us here.
